About Mec-Up

Medan Cardiovascular Update (Mec-Up) is an annual scientific meeting organized by Department of Cardiology and Vascular Medicine, Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Sumatera Utara. Medical science, especially in Cardiology field is constantly evolving, driven by technological innovations and newest researches. This condition is consistent with vision of Faculty of Medicine Universitas Sumatera Utara that focus on realizing the quality medical education to become an educational institution with a competitive field of excellence TALENTA in Southeast Asia in 2026.

Having great enthusiam in the last offline conference from general practitioners, medical students, nurses, cardiologist, and other medical specialty in the last event, we are going to conduct a more comprehensive scientific session by from leading experts from multifields. By conducting this event, we challenge physicians to dare to innovate and collaborate with other specialty in the era of globalization.

Themed “Beyond the Beating Core: Synergies in Cardiovascular Care”, congress will give a comprehensive overview of major topics in Cardiovascular field, medical treatment and catheter therapy and is designed for medical student, general physicians, cardiologists, nurses, and any other medical specialty. With a focus on the latest issue in collaborative strategies on cardiovascular innovation in Sumatera Utara region, this will also be an opportunity for engineers, device design specialists, and investors to learn from and network with physicians.

Scientific sessions will be conducted by leading experts in the field with lectures from our international faculty about the latest researches, medical therapies, and procedures/techniques. The congress will provide opportunities for valuable hands-on simulator training and of course we will welcome abstracts from those interested to present their work as part of our e-poster session and physician are encouraged to present and discuss their challenging cases in our abstract sessions.

Mec-Up has now become the biggest Cardiovascular Event in Sumatera leading conference in the field. Over the past years Mec-Up is bringing together combination in multifield science makes Mec-Up unique and has shown to be very interesting for many disciplines.
